Alex and Janet had their wedding at Heatherden Hall at the wonderful Pinewood Studios. Here is a snippet into their wedding as told by the photographer.
Wedding Date: 26th September 2015
Wedding inspiration: Italian and African fusion
The wedding ceremony was held at St. Edward’s Church in Windsor, an 1868 church building with rich history, it was a beautiful ceremony within the beautiful surroundings.
After the ceremony, we headed over to my favourite venue ever to photograph in. Heatherden Hall at Pinewood Studios is also steeped in rich history, but more of the movie and film kind.
Knowing that this grade 2 listed, victorian building is home to 007, the original Gatsby and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, is incredible! To walk the same corridors – seeing the film posters hanging up was very cool.
There were so many parts to the day it and it went by in what seemed like a flash. From the drinks, reception, and steel drum band, to the happy couple and VIP bridal party dancing in to Zambian music and an entertaining evening of cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet several times and a change of outfits…phew…time certainly did fly!
Having these little nods to the couple’s personality and family heritage made it an incredibly unique day and one that we were absolutely thrilled to document.
